TALLer TALES……………... Little Hands Big Hearts: For the past two weekends we’ve witnessed our little ones partake in the new Little Hands Big Hearts Ministry. This ministry was started to help the children learn about stewardship and how important it is to give back to God a portion of what He has given us. It’s been cute to watch the kids. Some wait for others to move. Some bring one or two items, other brought bags. Some come up with their siblings and then depart from there by another route without their siblings. This past weekend there was a cute scene at one of the masses. A real young girl proceeded up the center aisle with a HUGE smile, with one hand holding her brother’s hand and the other dutifully carrying the can she wanted to place in the basket. She got up front, looked around, paused and then placed the can in the basket. She was oblivious to the fact her brother just ditched her. She wasn’t satisfied with where she put the can so she picked it up from the one basket, then started rummaging through the other items. I started to wonder if she thought it was an even exchange basket. What would she return with? She eventually decided to move her original can to the other basket. By this time she caught the attention of everyone up front, smiled at them and then cheerfully bounced back up the center aisle into the waiting arms of her mom who was probably trying to figure out what was taking so long!
